Personal update

I wanted to let you all know that I am a little tied up at the moment. We are putting our house on the market this week so I am trying to make last-minute touch-ups. Everything is pretty much ready to go but the preparation is sucking away all of my time. I was able to add a few more lessons to my free, genealogy course but that was about it for this weekend. Genealogy will take a back seat for a few more days, at least until the "for sale" sign is in my front yard.

We already found a house that we like but have to sell our home first. Last time we sold a house, it took one weekend and without an agent. It was a different market back then but who knows, maybe our luck will be the same! I always say that, as long as you price the house right, it can sell in any market. The problem is when you bought during a market imbalance and paid too much. Then you cannot afford to "price it right." We bought our current home almost ten years ago so I have a good amount of equity to be flexible with on the sale price.

When the house gets put on, I will let you all know the MLS number. You can then go to that site and see some photos of where my blog was born and bred! And, if you know of anyone looking for a nice, reasonably-priced house in Glen Allen, Virginia, with a great yard, pass the info along to them.
